The Lure of Easy Money The message from the credit card companies seems to
be: Don't worry about paying for it today. You'll pay for
it tomorrow. And the day after tomorrow. And the day
after that. That's the problem. Put it on plastic, and you
may end up paying four or five times more tomorrow
than you would if you had just paid cash today. The
reality is that credit cards are not magic, and they are
not free. They are loans, and loans must be paid back.
If you do not pay them back, there are serious consequences that can hurt you in the future. Back
